Riverfest Regatta registration under way

The Riverfest Regatta, sponsored by U.S. Bank, is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River Saturday morning, September 10th, will be made of cardboard and a few other approved materials. Not only will teams be racing for bragging rights, but trophies will also be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams in each division. Even Mayor Kim McMillan will be getting in on the action and will compete in a cardboard boat constructed by a City Hall team.

Register by September 7th to compete in one of the following divisions: Adult Open, Business and Industry, Church/Civic, City Department and Military. If you think you have what it takes, pick up an application form today at any Clarksville location of US Bank, the Parks & Recreation office, or visit www.clarksvilleriverfest.com to print out one.

Time is running out- vote now!

Come down to Public Square each Saturday from 8:00am to 1:00pm for the Clarksville Downtown Market. After visiting, be sure to go to www.farmland.org/vote to cast your vote for Clarksville’s Downtown Market as “America’s Favorite Farmers Markets.” The contest ends August 31st!
