9/11 Campaign: Red, White, Blue and True, American Troops

LEAP Organization

Clarksville, TN – In collaboration with Hands On Clarksville, the LEAP Organization is utilizing its youth and mentors to help meet the goal of 600 volunteers during the Serve to Remember Days of Service in remembrance of 9/11.

LEAP Volunteers will help collect care package items for a 9/11 Campaign: Red, White, Blue and True, American Troops during Riverfest on September 9th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and 10th from 10:00am to 9:00pm.

The organization asks that denotations be travel size nonperishable items such as toothpaste, soap, candy, lotion, baby wipes, saline spray, sunblock, toilet paper and q-tips.

On September 12th, the donated items will be sent to the U.S. Troop Care Packages based out of Washington for these projects. Extensions will be granted for more supplies after the deadline depending upon the donation list. For more information please contact Tamira Cole at 931.980.9663.

Hands On Clarksville has set a goal of connecting a minimum of 600 volunteers with service activities through Serve to Remember. If Hands On Clarksville meets this goal, the agency is eligible to compete for a $25,000 national grant that will support future 9/11 events in the Clarksville area.
