APSU Extended Ed offers fall classes

Early Registration Discount on Selected Courses

Austin Peay State University

Clarksville, TN – Develop a new skill, explore a new idea, learn a new language or seek a new career with one of the fall classes from Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education. Register early and receive a 10 percent discount on selected courses.

Preregistration is required for each course.

Languages

Spanish Language & Culture—Part 1 will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Thursdays from September 15th-October 20th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 206. (course $152.00, supply $7.00)

Computer software applications

MS Word 2007 Intermediate will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 15th–29th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 101. (course $128.00, lab $5.00, supply $5.00)

MS Excel 2007 will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 4th–18th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 101. (course $128.00, lab $5.00, supply $5.00)

Test prep

Cracking the ACT—ACT Test Prep will meet from 9:00am–11:00am, Saturdays from September 17th-October 15th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 219. (course $124.00,  text $26.00, lab $5.00)

Professional development

HR Certificate—Part 1 will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Thursdays from September 22nd–October 20th at APSU’s Clement Building, Room 304. Courses need not be taken in sequence. (course $124.00, text $7.00)

Personal development

Beekeeping for Fun and Profit will meet from 6:00pm–8:30pm, Mondays from September 19th–October 24th at APSU’s McReynolds Building, Room 203. (course $144.00, text $29.00, supply $7.00)

Exploring Watercolor Painting will meet from 6:00pm–8:00pm, Thursdays from October 13th–November 17th at APSU’s Clement Building, Room 121. (course $144.00, supply $30.00)

Tennessee Small Business Development Center

Starting and Financing a Small Business will meet from 10:00am–noon, Tuesday, September 27th at Fort Campbell, KY., ACS-ACAP Center. (free)

Parenting, Health and Safety

American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers will meet from 8:00am–3:00pm, Saturday, September 17th at APSU’s Clement Building, Room 121. (course $75.00)

Parenting and Divorce, the court-mandated seminar for divorcing parents, will meet in Dickson County from 9:00am–1:00pm, Saturday, September 17th and again on October 14th at the Renaissance Center, Room 217. (course $35.00, text $15.00)

The Center partners with Montgomery Rider Education Program in offering a motorcycle rider safety course.
