Clarksville, TN – Gas and Water construction crews have planned water valve and fire hydrant replacement work at two locations near the downtown area on Thursday.
A crew will turn off water service on South 7th Street from Madison Street to Franklin Street at 8:00am to 2:00pm to replace a fire hydrant near the intersection of South 7th Street and Madison and a two-inch water meter on South 7th Street between Commerce and Franklin.
South 7th Street will be closed to traffic from Madison Street to Franklin Street during the work. Traffic will be detoured to Madison and Franklin streets.
A second crew will close the intersection of College Street and North 1st Street to through traffic at 4:00pm for water valve replacement work. North 1st Street will also be closed from Main Street to Jefferson Street. Area residents may experience low water pressure until 10:00pm when the work is expected to be complete.
Traffic will be detoured to Main and Jefferson streets.
