Dog Days and Pet Walk this Saturday

With Mayor McMillan and “Stevie Ray”

Humane Society of Clarksville – Montgomery County (HSCMC)Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 1st, 2001, local residents, visitors and their pets are invited to join the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and other pet-related vendors and organizations for the Annual Fall Dog Days.

The event is being held in conjunction with the Clarksville Downtown Market (Public Square at Main Street) from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

Be sure to stop by the Humane Society booth in the lower parking lot for:

Pet Walk

Let’s flood Public Square with leashed pooches for the mile-long Pet Walk through Downtown Clarksville. Beginning at 10:00am, City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will discuss the health benefits of having pets and then lead the public and their four-legged friends on a walk with her own Maltese, Stevie Ray. The walk will begin at the lower parking lot of the market, continue down Franklin Street and Strawberry Alley, and end back at Public Square.
