Requesting Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for assistance identifying a man that robbed and assaulted a 26 year old woman on September 22nd, 2011, around midnight in the area of Rocky Hill and Dover Road.

The 26 old woman was walking to a gas station to get some fuel for her vehicle. A white male approached her and asked for cigarettes and money. She told him that she didn’t have either of those items and continued to walk past him. She could hear him following her, picked up her pace, turned to see how close he was, at which time, the man tried to grab her shirt.

She ran, but he tackled her, got on top of her and starting punching her face. He demanded money and jewelry. She took off her jewelry and also gave he him $10.00 cash. She was able to escape as he gathered the items and was last seen running toward Dotsonville Road.

Police believe the man may live in the local area. He was described as a white male with a tan, 5’9”-5’11”, 160, Short brown hair thinning on top, unshaved, 30-40 years of age. He was wearing green/turquoise hoodie at the time of the robbery.

The two stolen rings were both size 9 ½. One ring was a white gold wedding band, diamonds on top, and the ring was bent on the bottom. The other ring was silver with a tribal type design.
