The Lady Govs hope to build on the success of last week’s Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic that saw the team finish in 11th-place out of 32 teams. Sophomore Xiamar Richards finished with another top-10 performance finishing eighth at the meet. In a field of 257 women, the Lady Govs had four runners place in the top-100.

“We are looking to continue where we left off last weekend at Louisville,” said head coach Doug Molnar. “Our big goal is to run together as a group. We are going to try to win the meet.”

Unlike last week, Tennessee State will be the only other Ohio Valley Conference school at the meet. In Louisville, the Lady Govs competed with three other OVC schools: Murray State, Southeast Missouri, and Morehead State. Other teams included in this week’s field are Kentucky State, Morehouse, Stillman, and Tuskegee.
