This event is a replication of a camp scene that would have been witnessed at Camp Boone 150 years ago. “Camp Boone was a Confederate basic training site located on Hwy 79 between Clarksville and Guthrie. The 4th Kentucky was one of the units training at Camp Boone and they are being depicted this weekend by the 4th Kentucky reenacting regiment. This regiment contains actual descendants from members of the original 4th Kentucky,” said William Parker, Fort Defiance Interpreter.
