Fronkensteen Experimental Theatre Group Opens the Stages at the Coup

Written by Ricky Steven Young Jr.

The CoupClarksville, TN – On Thursday October 20th and Friday October 21st, the Fronkensteen Experimental Theatre Group will host an open stage at The Coup on Crossland Avenue at 9:00pm. Admission is donations only.

Fronkensteen is a non profit theatre group that opened its first season this year and is eagerly anticipating opening its second season next year. All acts wishing to participate should arrive early because the order will be taken at the door at 8:30pm. The first fifteen acts to arrive will make it onstage. The admission is donations only and all donations will go to funding Fronkensteen’s next second season.

Fronkensteen’s Artistic Director Ricky Steven Young Jr. promises that “Open Stage” means that literally anything goes. “We will not turn away anyone or any act.” Young says, “Open Stages are great because, unlike open mic nights that want only musicians or comedians, they have people from all over the artistic world like poets, singers, jugglers, dancers, actors.”

Fronkensteen has dedicated itself to creating a vibrant artistic community in Clarksville. “This is what I helped create Fronkensteen for… to create a new artistic community in Clarksville for a new generation of artists.”
