Clarksville, TN – Mayor Kim McMillan has announced that Jennifer Rawls, former Executive Director of the Tennessee Economic Council on Women, will be the new Director of Communications for the city of Clarksville.
Rawls is expected to start her new job on Monday, November 21st.
Rawls, who is a licensed attorney and worked in private practice in Knoxville Tennessee has also worked in the Tennessee Attorney General’s office for ten years. She replaces Mark Hicks who left the mayor’s office in August, after coming to the McMillan camp from the Leaf-Chronicle. He resigned his position, but was not meeting the expectations of the mayor when he left.Â
As Public Information Officer for the City of Clarksville, Rawls will be responsbile for co-ordinating with all media requests of the Mayor’s office, and sending press releases to the media concerning the Mayor’. “I’m really excited about my new position with the city, as Clarksville is one of the best cities in the nation.” said Rawls. I’m eager to be a part of the community.”
