Pedestrian Fatality on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On December 5th, 2011, around 7:00pm, a pedestrian was killed while crossing the road at the 3000 Block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

According to the preliminary crash investigation, John Taylor, 54, Elkton KY, in a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van was traveling north on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, changed from the left to center lane and collided with a 53 year old pedestrian who was in the roadway.

It appears as though the pedestrian was walking west and in the center lane of northbound Wilma Rudolph Boulevard when he was struck by the van.

The man died at the scene and the name will be released after notification of family or next of kin.
