Austin Peay State University’s new Police Chief ready to make Campus Police among the best

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Now that Terence Calloway has been sworn in as the new police chief at Austin Peay State University, he is ready to make campus police and public safety among the best.

“I want to do a comprehensive audit of our department and identify priorities from there. I want to help make us one of the best police departments in the nation,” Calloway said.

Calloway took the oath of office Monday, January 9th by APSU President Tim Hall. Calloway officially began his new duties Monday.

An accomplished administrator with more than 16 years of experience, Calloway has directed an effective and efficient community-oriented police operation, including patrol, investigation support, training, budget management and administrative services. He also has extensive experience providing service to his community.

Most recently, Calloway served as a chief of police in Ohio and as an administrative lieutenant at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, Ohio. He holds a Master of Justice Administration degree from David N. Myers University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 244.
