Heart disease is more common than you may think—especially among women. Although heart disease has long been considered a man’s disease only, statistics show that one in three women will die of heart disease.

DAR will distribute free literature from the American Heart Association and the library will display special book selections on heart-healthy living choices to borrow.

The DAR is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to preserving American history, securing America’s future through better education, and promoting patriotism.
