Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce February Events

Clarksville Area Chamber of CommerceClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events during the month of February.

On Tuesday, February 7th, at 11:30am at the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road, the Chamber will be presenting a Women In Business. Please join us for this very special Women In Business event, where the First Lady of Tennessee, Crissy Haslam, will serve as the keynote speaker.

As First Lady, she has been proactive on promoting her stance on education, literacy and making families more involved with their children’s education. At this Women in Business, she will share more about her education initiatives and the surprises and lessons learned during her time as the First Lady. The cost is $20.00 for Chamber members and $25.00 for non-members.

 

On February 11th-12th, at the APSU Foy Center, 259 Marion Street, and the Chamber will be hosting the third annual Home and Garden Show, sponsored by Furniture Connection. The show is an excellent opportunity to get a head start on home and garden ideas for the spring.

It will offer the chance to meet vendors throughout the industry that can help with landscaping ideas, home improvement projects or tell you all about what is new and fashionable for your home.  Show hours are Saturday from 9:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday from noon until 5:00pm. General admission is $5.00 and free for children under 12 and active duty military with valid I.D.

The Chamber’s Business After Hours will be held on Thursday, February 16th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. The event will be hosted by First Advantage Bank at the Kiwanis Lodge, 1601 Old Russellville Pike. Join us for food, networking and fun. Business After Hours is offered at no cost.

On Thursday, February 23rd, at 11:30am at the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road, the Chamber will be presenting a Lunch & Learn. At this Lunch & Learn, Special Agent Scott Augenbaum from the FBI Cyber Crime Squad will be addressing the growing threat of cybercrime in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Websites as common as Facebook and Twitter can give criminals the information they need to access your business and personal computers and steal intellectual property, potentially costing you thousands of dollars to fix. Don’t miss this informative session on how to keep your business safe from the threat of hackers. The cost is $20.00 for Chamber members and $25.00 for non-members.

  1. Crissy can tell you all about business but very little about Constitutional Rights as her husband and our Governor has a year-long track record of squandering them through legislation. Whether it’s shooting down laws which protect the Gay and Lesbian community, creating legislation out of thin air to evict peaceful protesters, or making it ILLEGAL to post anything “Potentially Offensive” to the internet, Bill Haslam’s administration is on the war path to suppress Freedom of Speech in TN.
