101st Airborne Division Soldier Killed

Fort Campbell KY, 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – A 101st Airborne Division Soldier was found dead in the 400 block of Fidelio road, Hopkinsville, KY February 3rd. The soldier died from multiple gunshot wounds and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities, along with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command.

Sergeant Vincent Edward Goslyn Jr., 28, of Cadillac, MI was a Quartermaster and Chemical equipment repairer, assigned to 4th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).

He joined the Army in February 2005 and arrived at Fort Campbell in June 2008.

His awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Korean Defense Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal.

Goslyn is survived by his wife, Jessie L. Goslyn; sons, Joshua and Joseph Goslyn and daughters, Emma and Grace Goslyn, all of Fort Campbell, KY. He is also survived by son, Kevin L. Foster of Cadillac, MI; father, Vincent E. Goslyn Sr. of Lawton, OK and mother, Rhonda R. Kroger.
