Clarksville Montgomery County School System announces New Principal for Rossview Middle to Start Next School Year

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemClarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County Director of Schools Mike Harris has named Christina Harris as the principal of Rossview Middle School for the next school year.  Current Rossview Middle principal Anna Neubauer plans to retire at the end of this school year.

Mrs. Harris graduated Summa Cum Laude with her B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She also earned her M.S. in education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a second M.S. in educational administration from Concordia University in Wisconsin.

She taught fifth grade, as well as sixth grade language arts, math, science and Social Studies.  She served as an administrative intern/associate principal from 2008-2010.  Currently, she is serving as a principal of the Madison Metropolitan School District, in Madison, WI. Her endorsements include:  K-8 Teacher, Pre-K-12 Administrator, and Pre-K-12 Reading Specialist.

“What an honor it is to come to CMCSS as an instructional leader at Rossview Middle School,” Mrs. Harris shared. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with the staff, building relationships with the school community and most importantly, supporting student learning. As a UT-Knoxville graduate, it’s exciting to return to the Volunteer State for this amazing opportunity. Thank you to the CMCSS Human Resources staff and Central Office administration for extending this invitation to me as my family transitions from Wisconsin to Tennessee.”

Phyllis Casebolt, director of educator quality for CMCSS, noted that in checking references for Mrs. Harris, “Colleagues, supervisors and mentors indicated her ability to build and sustain a positive school climate with an unceasing focus upon her students.”

Sean Impeartrice, director of CMCSS middle schools stated, “Mrs. Harris demonstrated through the interview process her dedication and ability to establish a collective vision for a learning community through seeking input from all stakeholders, data analysis, and shared decision- making. We are excited about her decision to join the Rossview Middle School team. Please join us in welcoming her as our newest CMCSS principal.”
