President’s Day
In honor of President’s Day, the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department main office will be closed Monday, February 20th. The three Community Centers will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
The gym at Burt-Cobb Community Center will remain closed through February 26th as the floors are being refinished.
*NEW* Adaptive Swim Lessons
Registration is now underway for the Adaptive Swim Lessons; open to ages 5-18 with special needs. Register online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com or visit our Main Office.
The next session begins February 27th. Classes meet Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 6:45pm. Cost is $15.00 per session, with the purchase of a pool pass, or $35.00 without.

Aquatic Belly Dancing
Try something new at the Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence! Aquatic Belly Dancing class begins March 5. Classes will be held Mondays from 6:15pm to 7:00pm and Wednesdays from 5:00pm to 5:45pm. Cost is $5.00 per class.

Clarksville Sports Festival
The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking businesses and companies interested in being exhibitors at the 2012 Sports Festival. The festival, to be held from 9:00am to 4:00pm on March 17th at various locations on Austin Peay’s campus, will feature demonstrations, mini-clinics, give-a-ways and more, all celebrating sports and athletics in our local and surrounding communities. Hundreds of attendees are expected, which will provide maximum exposure for exhibitors.
The exhibition application is available at the Parks & Recreation Department office or online at http://recpro.cityofclarksville.com.
All forms must be turned in no later than February 24th.
Kindermusik Demo Classes
ABC Music and ME – February 27th at 10:30am.
Family Time – February 29th at 11:15am.
Archery is back!
Crow Community Center will begin offering archery classes, Thursday, March 1st, to teach youth grades 4-12, the basic fundamentals of the sport. All classes will meet Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. The cost of the entire four-week session is only $10.00 per student! A community center ID card is also required.
