Clarksville Police investigating 16 Year Old’s Claim of being shot while walking down Old Ashland City Road

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On February 18th, 2012, around 9:40am, Police were called to Gateway Medical Center in reference to a 16 year old at the emergency room that had been shot.

According to the 16 year old male, after spending the night with some friends, he was walking on Old Ashland City Road and sustained a gunshot wound to his lower back. After being shot, he was picked up by two unknown men in a silver Mitsubishi Galant and taken to the emergency room.

A paramedic saw the 16 year male old get out of the Mitsubishi as it pulled up to the emergency room and then the vehicle left the hospital. The victim was taken by Lifeflight to a Nashville hospital, underwent surgery, and is in stable condition.

The victim could not provide many details. He did not know who shot him, the exact location where it occurred, or who the men were that took him to the hospital. Also, Police have not located the crime scene.

The lead investigator is Detective Tracy Woodruff.
