Reed Harper nabs OVC’s opening Player of the Week honor

Brentwood, TN – Junior shortstop Reed Harper, who batted .600 during Austin Peay State University‘s baseball opening weekend, has been named the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Harper, of Clarksville TN (Clarksville High School), went 9-for-15 with four runs scored, a double, home run and four RBI as Austin Peay won three of four games against Illinois State in the opening weekend of college baseball action. His biggest hit of the series came in Game 3 as his walk-off home run capped a 3-2 come-from-behind victory and secured the series victory.
Austin Peay begins a four-game road trip with a 4:00pm, Wednesday contest at Memphis.
