Clarksville, TN – Sophomore Rolando Gautier’s grand slam was the first of three home runs and sophomore Ryan Quick bounced back from a rough first inning as Austin Peay State University’s baseball team won its fifth straight game, 10-2, against UT Martin in Ohio Valley Conference action, Friday night, at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Detroit, MI – The Nashville Predators played a near-perfect road game and Pekka Rinne was outstanding as Nashville picked up an important 4-1 win at Detroit on Friday night to leapfrog the Red Wings for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture.

Austin Peay Women’s Softball at Eastern Kentucky

Clarksville, TN – Coming off a successful 3-1 home stand, Austin Peay State University’s softball team hits the road this weekend with a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series at Eastern Kentucky.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Montgomery County chapter of the American Red Cross presents the first annual “Escoffier Dinner, The Art of French Cuisine” at the Looking Glass Restaurant on April 21st at 6:00pm. Proceeds from the event will benefit the local chapter of the Red Cross. Dr. Mac and Linda Edington and Dr. Ernie and Joan DeWald are co-chairing the event together and will host it at the Looking Glass restaurant. Wines will be provided by Fifth City Wine.
Both Fifth City Wine and the Looking Glass are the major sponsors for the event.

Fort Campbell, KY – Rakkasan soldiers are well-known for how hard they train for the dangers they face on the battlefield. Similarly, they prepare for the unpredictable hazards they may encounter on the roadways.
On March 21st, 2012, soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), gathered to stress the importance of safety during the Rakkasan Motorcycle Mentorship Course here at Fort Campbell, KY.

Clarksville, TN – Alpha Delta Psi, the Austin Peay State University chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for nontraditional students, held its annual induction ceremony on March 24th.
The main goal of Alpha Sigma Lambda is to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work.
Clarksville, TN – After months of renovation, the Customs House 1898 building will be reopening on April 28th.
In February, Customs House Museum closed the doors to its 1898 building in order to replace nine undersized, outdated, and malfunctioning Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning units (HVAC) with four commercial units.
