Florim is proud of our practices in sustainability and embraces opportunities like this community program to show our commitment to sustainability and seek opportunities for continued improvement,” stated Florim USA President Giovanni Grossi. “We were approached about the Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification Program at a time when Florim USA made the decision to prepare for ISO 14001 certification. CMCGCP has greatly helped us in laying the foundation for that process. We knew we had strong sustainability practices in place but through this process we continued to find additional opportunities for saving money and conserving resources,” said Florim USA Human Resources Director Tim Swaw. Florim USA has actively practiced green sustainability practices by using a closed-loop system, meaning all waste generated in their operations is recycled back through the process. Montgomery County Director of Administration Phil Harpel congratulated Florim USA’s leadership for their commitment to sustainability. “We are honored to celebrate this achievement with you and thank you for setting such high standards in our community.” he said. “This is a testament to the Florim USA team’s commitment to finding new and creative ways to reduce waste and encourage all of us to do more,” said Michelle Newell, CMCGCP Manager. Florim USA, owned by Florim Group in Italy, is an internationally renowned manufacturer of Italian style porcelain tile products. The company has been manufacturing tile in the Clarksville-Montgomery County Corporate Business Park for 10 years.
