The topics covered were bullying by Susan P. Jones of the Clarksville Montgomery County School System and Living the Crazy Life by Pastor Tommy Vallejos of Faith Outreach Church. The Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative featured round table discussions with APSU students and youth from the community followed by keynote speaker Mr. Lowell Perry sharing what it is to Create a Meaningful Life.
Faith Outreach Church and Grace Nazarene Church donated laptops to be raffled off at the event to reward youth for participating from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The conference concluded with the Rachel’s Challenge. The powerful video/audio footage of Rachel’s life and the Columbine tragedy held students spell-bound during a presentation that motivated them to positive change in the way they treat others.
