Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrols in conjunction with Patrol made 20 DUI Arrests

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted saturation patrols which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

The saturation patrol special in conjunction with routine patrol operations took 20 DUI offenders off the streets between April 20th-23rd.

Some of the characteristics of the arrests were

  1. Majority of the arrests occurred: Between Midnight and 5:00am
  2. Locations of arrests varied:
    • (6) Fort Campbell Boulevard
    • (2) 101st Airborne Parkway
    • (2) College Street
    • (2) Memorial Drive
    • (2) Martin Luther King Boulevard
    • (6) Other locations.
  3. Reasons Vehicles Stopped
    • ( 4) Accidents
    • ( 5) Citizen complaints
    • (11) Traffic Violations
  4. Age Range: 22-68 years old
    • (11) 21-29 years old
    • ( 4) 30-39 years old
    • ( 5) 40-68 years old
  5. Gender
    • (17) Male
    • (3) Female
  6. BAC Levels:
    • .065-.267
    • Several had blood draws and results are pending
    • (7) Refused testing
  7. Offenders with Previous DUI charges: (3) 3rd, 4th, and 5th Offense.
