The Bizarre Sequence of Events in this Case are still being Unraveled.
Clarksville, TN – On May 1st, 2012, around 8:30pm, Police responded to a call from a Holiday Drive hotel, in which a 25 year old woman covered in blood and crying asked for a vacant room.
She asked the clerks to call 911 because “The guy I am with killed the father of my children and I have to get a room or he will kill everyone here”. She was given a room key, left the lobby, and 911 was called.
Simultaneously, officers were sent to an address off of Needmore Road, where the woman’s husband had allegedly been killed. The husband was found at the residence with a visible injury to his face. Detective Heather Boyce was called to the hotel to continue the investigation.
Her investigation revealed that the suspect, Emmonie Dion Branch had been over the woman’s house earlier to hang out with her and husband. During the visit, Branch got into a fight with the woman’s husband and knocked him to the ground.
According to a witness, Branch then ran over the man with a vehicle. Detective Boyce was further told that Branch forced the woman to leave the residence. He allegedly made a threat to kill the children if the woman did not leave with him. At some point, after they left the residence, the woman was taken to the hotel and sexually assaulted.
Additionally, the assaulted man was later transported to a hospital with head trauma and bleeding on the brain.
