Clarksville Kim McMillan Mayor presents Certificates of Appreciation to Members of Echo Company 6-101st Aviation, 101st combat Aviation Brigade

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – At the May 3rd, 2012 City Council Meeting, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan presented certificates of appreciation to members of Echo Company 6-101st Aviation, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade for work they did in the Clarksville community.

During their recent Day of No Service Activity (“DONSA”) these soldiers, along with their families, spent over 231 hours revitalizing the playground at Bel Aire Park by pressure washing, sanding and repainting equipment and spreading over 12 truckloads of mulch.

They also helped the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department with installing new swing sets at the Dalewood Park.

“I often talk about our soldiers because in Clarksville, they are OUR soldiers, and how much they mean to our community. This is just one more example of how they work each and every day – even on a day of “no service” – to help Clarksville,” said Mayor Kim McMillan. “The members of Echo Company 6-101st Aviation, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade are the finest examples of our brave, dedicated, hard-working and generous soldiers and I am very appreciative of their efforts to make Clarksville the best place to live, work and raise our families.”
