Jackson, TN – The 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship got underway on Wednesday with two games at Pringles Park.
In the first game of the day, No. 4 seed Eastern Illinois topped No. 5 Morehead State 2-1, scoring in the bottom of the ninth inning on a walk-off hit by Ryan Dineen.
 In the nightcap No. 6 seed Southeast Missouri bested No. 3 Jacksonville State 4-1, scoring three times in the sixth inning to grab the lead and hold it for the victory.
Morehead State will play Jacksonville State in an elimination game at 11:00am on Thursday. Eastern Illinois will play No. 2 Eastern Kentucky at 3:00pm on Thursday. Southeast Missouri will play No. 1 Austin Peay at 7:00pm on Thursday.
This season marks the 34th time the event has been held but the third year in a row it has been held at Pringles Park in Jackson, Tennessee. Pringles Park is home of the Jackson Generals, the AA-affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
