Nashville Sounds lead by Caleb Gindl and Wily Peralta get 5-2 Victory over Memphis Redbirds

Nashville SoundsMemphis, TN – Outfielder Caleb Gindl homered and drove in three runs as the Nashville Sounds topped the cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds, 5-2, on Saturday night at AutoZone Park. Nashville (39-51) has won three of the first four games of the series.

Nashville starter Wily Peralta (5-8) allowed one unearned run on six hits while fanning six in 5 2/3 innings for the win. While also scoring and driving in a run while reaching base in both of his at-bats, the 23-year old exited early as a precaution after being struck in the leg with a comebacker. Peralta now has four victories in his last five starts (4-0, 1.82 ERA, 5er/24.2ip) from the hill.

A League of Their Own plays Tonight at Movies in the Park

 

Movies in the ParkClarksville, TN – Movies in the Park will be showing “A League of Their Own” at the Heritage Park Soccer fields tonight ! Movie will start at sunset around 8:15pm-8:30pm and we will be giving away prizes beforehand.

Make sure to bring plenty of water and bug spray! Remember this is a PG movie however it does contain strong language and sexual content.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Week 5 (October 7th) kickoff time for the Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings game has been moved from 12:00pm CT to 3:25pm CT to accommodate the Twin Cities Marathon which starts near Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

The game will be televised by CBS.

Charles Hand Farm’s “Bud Barn” was filled with Friends and Family for the 3rd Annual Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament dinner

 

Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf TournamentClarksville, TN – On the eve of one of the area’s biggest golf tournaments, hundreds of friends, family and spectators packed the Bud Barn at the Charles Hand Farm Friday night to remember the late Mickey Fisher at the Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament dinner.

After food, drinks and camaraderie were shared, various items were auctioned off for charity and scholarship money as part of the third annual event.

Fort Campbell, KY – As Bastogne soldiers prepared themselves for their month long mission at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, LA, individuals worked vigorously behind the scenes to ensure their smooth transition to and from their destination.

These types of personnel movement missions require time, resources and a lot of planning from soldiers and officers behind the scenes.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation temporarily relocates Smith Pool Swimming Lessons
