Each July since 1985, America has celebrated Park and Recreation Month as designated by the U.S. House of Representatives. Parks and Recreation Month is a program of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the America’s Backyard initiative.

The goal is to raise awareness of the vital impact that parks, recreation and conservation have on communities across the United States. This year’s theme is “Get Wild!”

Clarksville Parks & Recreation offers a variety of recreational opportunities through programs, parks and trails.  Check out the Get Wild Calendar for examples of what you can do with your family in Clarksville’s parks to make the most of the month of July by visiting the City of Clarksville’s website.
