Clarksville Academy has seen extreme growth over the past few years and this report shows the reason why so many are joining the Cougar tradition. As of May 2012, CA had 568 students enrolled in it’s Pre-K through 12 college preparatory program. All 51 graduates of the Class of 2012 are going to college and received an overwhelming $4.8 million in scholarships!

Pre-K at CA is more than just an introduction to education, with course work in foreign language, pre-reading, letter and number recognition, music, art, technology and more, these students are better prepared for Kindergarten. The Kindergarten program adds to those foundations with immersion in these subjects as well as reading, writing, phonics, science, math and a mentor program with the senior class.

All Lower School students in grades 1-5 also attend the enrichments listed above (art, music, science, technology, library and foreign language) as well as take part in math labs, off campus field trips and daily physical education classes.

Intermediate Schools will be issued iPad3 later this month for use in daily classroom and homework assignments. Upper School students are immersed in technology with MacBook laptops which are used for all work done in and outside of class.

Clarksville Academy is also adding a Challenge Based Learning Program which will take an overall question/problem that the entire Upper School will work solve. This question/problem will have effects not only on the CA community but the community as a whole. This program will teach new leadership and problem solving skills.
