Khris Davis Belts First Triple-A Homer In Win
Nashville, TN – Theplated five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to wrap up their homestand with a come-from-behind 9-5 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday evening at Greer Stadium in the finale of a five-game series.
With the victory, Nashville (50-61) finished its nine-game stand with a 5-4 record despite dropping three of five to the Isotopes.
Trailing 5-4 entering the bottom of the eighth, the Sounds rallied for five runs in the frame to post the victory, marking the 16th time this season they’ve scored the winning run in their final turn at the plate.

Fort Campbell, KY – One of the highlights of the 4th Brigade Combat Team’s 506th Infantry Regiment’s birthday celebration on July 20th, 2012 at Fort Campbell, KY was the induction ceremony of Distinguished and Honorary Members of the Regiment.
14 people were inducted to include civilians and former Currahees.

Brown replaces Malik Tabet, who resigned last spring after three years as head coach.
Brown served as men’s head coach at Evansville from 1991-2001 before moving to become Southern Indiana men’s coach from 2001-08. He left the coaching profession after the 2008 season to serve as Fujairah Tennis and County Club general manager in United Arab Emirates for 2 ½ years. Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans reached terms on Tuesday with top draft pick, Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright on a four-year contract.
Wright is expected to be in Nashville tomorrow and will will be available to the media on Thursday.

Commencement will begin at 2:00pm. Doors will open at 1:00pm for guests.

Clarksville, TN – Russ Shemberger, a licensed massage therapist at Restore Performance Massage on Madison Street in Clarksville, completed the rigorous Lake Guntersville Long Course Triathlon Training Camp, held July 27th-29th in Scottsboro, AL.
He was one of 50 participants in the camp, which trains triathletes from across the nation by swimming, biking and running a total of 140.6 miles – the distance of an Ironman – over the three-day event.
Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department hosts a new session of Youth Hip Hop & Jazz dance program
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is introducing a new Hip Hop & Jazz dance program at the Crow Community Center, located at 211 Richview Road, for ages 5-16 years.
Hip Hop & Jazz will begin August 15th and will be divided into classes for 5-7 years, 8-11 years and 12-16 years. This introductory class, taught by Ashley Denno, will introduce youth to the art of Jazz and Hip Hop dancing. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water will close South Tenth Street to through traffic tomorrow at 7:00am to repair a water main leak. Construction crews will close both lanes to through traffic and detour motorists to Commerce and Franklin streets.
Repair work is expected to be complete by 12:00pm.
$17.9 Million Provides for Infrastructure and Other Improvements
Nashville, TN – The(TDOT) announced today that federal and state aeronautics grants totaling $17,968,888 have been approved for 14 Tennessee airports.
The grants are made available through the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Division. The Division administers federal and state funding to assist in the location, design, construction and maintenance of Tennessee’s diverse public aviation system. «Read the rest of this article»
