Mark Green Speaks to Lone Oak Picnic hosted by Central Civitan

Election 2012Cunningham, TN – Dr. Mark Green, the conservative Republican candidate for State Senate in District 22, spoke to a great crowd at the Lone Oak Picnic put on by Central Civitan Club.

Green spoke about jobs, the current state of the economy in the district and how the lack of infrastructure is holding back our community from growing.

“As a small business owner, veteran from Fort Campbell and a physician I am uniquely qualified to know the issues facing the district and what needs to happen to create jobs,” Green said. “I have created over $4 million in jobs in this district through the small business I started three years ago, Align MD, and know what’s holding back small businesses from creating jobs. When I’m elected to the State Senate my number one priority will be creating jobs by getting government out of the way of small business, cutting taxes and getting this district its fair share of road dollars back from state government.”

Five years ago Montgomery County was fourth in the state for road dollars received from the State of Tennessee. This year they were 36th in the state. “We are the ninth fastest growing community in the Nation and the fifth largest community in the state” said Green. “It is abysmal we ranked 36th for dollars spent on roads in Tennessee. We are losing jobs due to this, and we need to elect someone who will go down to Nashville and fight to bring these dollars back to the district.”

Tennessee State Senate District 22 includes Houston, Montgomery and Stewart Counties. For more information on Green’s campaign, please visit www.markgreenfortennessee.com
