APSU Sports: Austin Peay Pom Squad
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s pom squad recently finished second in the National Dance Alliance (NDA) team camp in Louisville, KY.
Twenty-five teams and 250 dance squad members took part in the camp. APSU Pom finished second overall in the Division I category.
In addition, APSU captured a Silver Bid to NDA Nationals next April-a Silver Bid defrays cost of rooms and registration in Daytona.
Two APSU dancers were awarded All-America honors, Kara Wyatt and Lindsay Thuerbach, after the pair also was named NDA All-Stars along with squad mates Elizabeth Franklin, Lacey Groves and Savanna Greenway.
This is the second year APSU Pom Squad, under coach Nikki Peterson, has attended this regional camp.
