Austin Peay Governors Football complete first two-a-day practice

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University‘s football team took advantage of cooler temperatures, Saturday, for its first-two-a-day practices.
With temperatures in the lower 70s to greet the Govs in their morning practice, the Govs adorned full pads for the second straight day. The day’s second practice, held in mid-afternoon, saw the Governors only in shorts.

The Govs then will return to the field Monday for the first of two scrimmages in the week. That scrimmage will take place at 9:30am, with the week’s second scrimmage occurring at the same on Saturday.
The Governors annual football media also will take place on Saturday, August 18th, beginning at 1:00pm.
Austin Peay will open the 2012 season, Saturday, September 1st with a 6:00pm, contest against old rival Western Kentucky, a Football Championship Subdivision school that competes in the Sun Belt Conference.
