Clarksville Police investigate Fatality Crash on 101st Airborne Division Parkway

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On August 15th, 2012, around 5:45pm Clarksville Police reports there was a fatality crash on the 101st Division Parkway and Ringgold Road. There were three cars involved in the crash.

A 2011 GMC Arcadia driven by Alonso Tovar, 41, was traveling east on 101st, and attempted to make a left turn onto Ringgold Road, but failed to yield to a westbound 98 Honda Accord driven by Dae Kang, 64.

The Honda crashed into the Arcadia and then continued onward to hit a stopped Toyota 4Runner, driven by Jacquelynn Jackson-Bunch, 34 and finally came to rest after running into a Stop sign.

Dae Kang and his wife, Tae Kang, 65 who was a passenger in the Honda, were transported to Gateway by ambulance. Tae Kang passed away at Gateway shortly after the crash. The cause of death is still under investigation.

Dae Kang was admitted, treated, and released this morning.  None of the other drivers or passengers were transported.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
