Clarksville Police Respond to a Panic Alarm and Find Three Children Alone

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On August 20th, 2012, around 8:00am, Clarksville Police, EMS, and Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a Police/Medical panic alarm at 1136 Peachers Mill Road.

When Officer John Neal arrived on scene, he found the front door unlocked and a child turning the knob on the open door. After he went inside, there were two more children found in the living room.

The children left alone were a 9 month old female, 2 year old male, and a 3 year old female. Officers checked throughout the house and there were no adults available to watch the children.

Around 13 minutes after officers arrived, the mother of the children, Annette Drayton, arrived home. She told Officer Neal that she left to take her five year old to school and had been gone about a half hour.

Additionally, it was determined one of the children had activated the panic alarm.

The children were released to a family member.
