Clarksville Police Department’s Lt Steve Warren Recognized as Top Liasion Officer for Tennessee

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department’s Lt Steve Warren was recently recognized as the Top Terrorism Liaison Officer in the State of Tennessee for 2011.

Department of Homeland Security Assistant Commissioner David Purkey lauded Lt Warren for leading the state in 2011 for filing nineteen separate criminal/terrorism investigations which were accepted and disseminated throughout the state by the Tennessee Fusion Center’s Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative.

Lt Warren was also recognized by Director Timothy J. Healy, from the Terrorist Screening in Washington D.C. for an investigation which provided information which may prove valuable to federal, local, state, and the overall intelligence community. Lt Warren was entrusted with the Police Department’s Homeland Security liaison duties two years ago and trained the Police Department on Homeland Security programs and reporting.

As a result of his efforts, the Clarksville Department took the lead in the state in submissions for suspicious activity reporting and received recognition by Tennessee’s Department of Safety and Homeland Security and the Terrorist Screening Center in Washington D.C.
