Report for August 31st- Sept 3rd
Clarksville, TN – There were no shortages of traffic crashes over the Labor Day weekend which ran from August 31st thru September 3rd, 2012.
Clarksville Police investigated 88 crashes over the long weekend, 16 involved injuries, and four were alcohol related. Three of the alcohol related crashes occurred before 9:00pm on August 31st.

Also, on August 31st between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, officers worked 19 traffic crashes. The volume of crashes occurred sequentially, with the most on the 31st, next was September 1st and the 2nd and 3rd were almost equal.
The primary causes of the crashes were: Failure to Use Reasonable Care, Improper Backing, Following Too Closely or Improperly, and Failure to Yield.
