Campbell Crossing reaches One Million Hours with No Loss-Time Incidents

Campbell CrossingFort Campbell, KY – Campbell Crossing LLC, a partnership between the Department of the Army and Lend Lease, is proud to announce that it has reached a significant safety milestone by operating for 1 million work hours during the past two years without a loss-time incident.

Campbell Crossing has more than 140 employees and 100 subcontractors on site. The team provides development, asset, property and maintenance management services for the more than 4,400 families that live on Fort Campbell.

“We could not have reached this colossal goal without everyone remaining focused, and caring for their fellow workers. Every member of the team knows that this record belongs to them and is a direct result of their efforts,” said Brain Egbert, Project Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Campbell Crossing. “It is something that all should be very proud of.”

Egbert added that this number was reached through a variety of ways, including education and empowerment of all workers to look for safety hazards in their daily work and having the power to stop anything that they feel is unsafe.

“Each individual who works at Campbell Crossing is trained on Lend Lease Global Minimum Requirements for Safety, Pre-Task Planning, workplace hazards and other safety tips and techniques that play a vital role in ensuring their safety. Lend Lease’s safety philosophy is really quite simple – every worker deserves the right to go home in the same condition they came to work,” he said.

As a company, Lend Lease encourages each employee to make a personal commitment to working Incident & Injury Free and to demonstrate their commitment to co-workers and others around them by encouraging them to work safely, too.

Lend Lease has also received a number of safety awards recently, including the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Construction Safety Excellence Award.

The AGC organization placed Lend Lease first in the state of Tennessee for its commitment to innovative safety practices throughout the projects it oversees.

The company also won the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) National Safety Award of Excellence in the category of Single Family Builder Safety Program of the Year (Greater than 500 Home Starts per Year).
