Clarksville, TN – Senior Devin Stark, of Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Stark caught nine passes for a career-high 124 yards and two touchdowns in the Govs 34-14 road loss to Tennessee State, Saturday. It was also his first season’s first multi-touchdown game, and the third of his career.
The first reception of the day put Stark over 1,000 yards for his career. His first touchdown reception, a one-handed 20-yarder, moved quarterback Jake Ryan into third all-time in APSU history in touchdown passes.It was Stark’s second career 100-yard performance and the first by a Governor since his 107-yard performance against Memphis, September 17th, 2011.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included
- Sophomore Jada Stotts, of the volleyball team, recorded 19 kills in the Lady Govs lone match last week, a three-set win at Middle Tennessee. She set the tone for the match with a nine-kill, no-error first set.
- Junior Morgan Zigelsky, of the Austin Peay soccer team, scored twice and added an assist in the Lady Govs 6-1 victory against Alabama A&M, Sunday. Zigelsky scored the game-winner and assisted on junior Tatiana Ariza’s school record-tying 30th career goal.
- Junior Craig Salley, of the Austin Peay football team, amassed a career-high 11 tackles in the Govs loss at TSU. Ten of Salley’s tackles were unassisted, and he was credited with a quarterback hurry.
