APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Cross Country
Clarksville, TN – After a very extended break, Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team looks to get back into the swing of the season, Saturday, when they travel deep into Kentucky for the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic, hosted by the Louisville Sports Commission. The first of three men’s races is scheduled to begin at 9:30am.

In the Govs last action, they finished fourth at the Powerade Invitational in Chattanooga. Senior Konnor Kessler and junior Tyler Kepley both put together top-20 marks towards APSU’s team score.
Since then, the Govs have been training around Clarksville. Head coach Doug Molnar thinks the time away from competition has given his team a chance to refine some parts of the race.
“This is going to be a big meet,” Molnar said. “Louisville is hosting the NCAA Championships at this track this year, so teams will be coming in from all over to check the course out. It should make for a lot of competition.”
