Montgomery County Relay For Life To Host Captain’s University on October 6th

American Cancer Society's Relay for LifeMontgomery County, TN – On October 6th, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of Montgomery County will host its first-ever Captain’s University in Clarksville at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center.

The public is invited to attend this comprehensive workshop to better educate the Clarksville Community on team participation opportunities and benefits of the Relay For Life effort.  Montgomery County Relay For Life has invited a nationally known trainer to facilitate training for interested members of the Clarksville Community.

Teams will also have an opportunity to register and select a campsite for the overnight event to be held on May 18th, 2013. The training is free and open to the public, and this is another opportunity to learn more about the Relay For Life and join the fight against cancer because learning more will enable us to do more in saving lives.

Captain’s University will be at 9:00am until noon on Saturday, October 6th, 2012 at the Hilldale Baptist Church Family Life Center, 250 Old Farmers Road, Clarksville, Tennessee.

The world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, Relay For Life, mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and provide participants with an opportunity to fight back against the disease. Relay brings together friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, faith-based groups . . . people from all walks of life – all aimed at furthering the American Cancer Society’s vision of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
