Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Junior Xiamar Richards, of Austin Peay State University women’s cross country team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Richards earned her first career Ohio Valley Conference Female Runner of the Week honor after winning the JSU Foothills 5K race, Friday. Her 18:39.17 run was a season-best.

101st Sustainment Brigade Unit Will Return Home Friday, October 12th, 2012

Salvation Army Angel Tree Sign Up begins October 22nd

 

Clarksville, TN – The Salvation Army will be taking applications for its Christmas Assistance program at 210 Kraft Street, Clarksville, for residents of Montgomery County, Stewart County, and Houston County the weeks of October 22nd-26th and October 29th-November 2nd.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Xiamar Richards named OVC Runner of the Week

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceXiamar RichardsBrentwood, TN – After picking up her first victory in nearly a year at Friday’s JSU Foothills Invitational, Austin Peay State University junior Xiamar Richards was named Ohio Valley Conference Female Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Richards season-best 18:39.17 run bested the field by more than three seconds for her third career victory and led the Lady Govs to a fourth-place team finish. The Clarksville native won last season’s KSU Thorobreds and Earl Jacoby Memorial as well. «Read the rest of this article»

Tennessee Department of Health issues update on Outbreak of Infections, Meningitis, Associated with recalled Methylprednisolone Acetate, October 9th 2012

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – Tennessee Health Commissioner John Dreyzehner, MD, MPH, has provided an update on the investigation of infections associated with recalled methylprednisolone acetate. His statements from today’s media briefing are included below.

As of 1:00pm on October 9th, 2012, TDH has now confirmed 39 cases of illnesses linked to this outbreak. Of those cases, six have resulted in death of the patients.

Persons by State with Meningitis Linked to Epidural Steroid Injections, as of October 9th, 2012. Four more cases have been reported in Tennessee bringing the case total to 39. Two additional confirmed deaths, bringing the Tennessee total to six.

Clarksville Police need assistance identifying Fleet Footed Felons that Stole $3500 in Merchandise

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify Two Fleet Footed Felons that stole $3500 in merchandise, in less than a minute, from a store at the 2800 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. As you can see from the video of the thieves, they wasted no time entering, taking the merchandise, and fleeing from the store.

The theft occurred on September 25th, 2012, around 4:45pm. The actual time for the whole event is about 45 seconds.

Clarksville Police need help locating a Runaway Juvenile

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to locate a juvenile, Alicia Davis, W/F, DOB: 2/19/95, reported as a runaway September 20th, 2012.

The vehicle which she left the area in was found in the Nashville area on October 3rd, 2012. She is believed to be in the Murfreesboro, TN or Nashville, TN area.

She has a distinctive tattoo on her forearm as you can see from the photo. Also, she’ll use the name Alicia Nicole.
