Clarksville Police report Monkey Stolen from Denny Road residence

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police handle a variety of crimes with varying levels of severity. But, every now and then a unique case presents itself to law enforcement. One of those type cases has swung our way.

On September 28th, 2012, between 11:15am and 6:40pm, some nefarious criminal broke into Douglas Jackson’s mobile home at 115 Denny Road, Apt 3 and took his Marmoset monkey, valued at $3,000. When Douglas Jackson left his residence to go to work, he double checked the door to make sure it was locked.

When he returned home, he found his dog running outside and the door wide open. He also discovered that his pet monkey, “Gizzy”, which originally belonged to his grandmother had been stolen from the trailer.

There was no other property taken at the time of the break-in.
