Couture Crush Celebrates Successful First Year in Business

With strong sales, owner looking to open second location

Couture CrushClarksville, TN – Couture Crush, an independently owned ladies boutique, recently completed the first year of business in October 2012.  Located in downtown Clarksville, the specialty retail shop carries a mix of women’s clothing, accessories, jewelry, home accessories, and gifts, appealing to the community’s fashion-conscious.

Owned by Clarksville native and recent Austin Peay State University graduate Kaley Drew, Couture Crush surpassed first year goals and attributed strong local customer response to the better-than-planned sales.

“We’ve had such tremendous support from the Clarksville community,” says Drew.  “Our chic style truly appeals to the area’s fashion-conscious females, and Historic Downtown Franklin Street is the perfect location for such a unique boutique.”

Although Couture Crush has only been open for one year, Drew herself is no stranger to the world of high fashion in Clarksville.

“I had the good fortune to gain experience working for Billy and Kathy Hadley at Posh (another fashion boutique in Downtown Clarksville) while in high school and college.  That opportunity was huge for me.  It confirmed that my passion was in small business and boutique fashion,” says Drew.

“My training with them made such an impact on me which is why I try to help others in the community who have similar interests also.”

Drew certainly has been very active in the Clarksville community.  She has served as a consultant for the Chamber of Commerce women’s mentor program and is a member of the 2012 Leadership Clarksville Class.  Couture Crush has also graciously donated stylist services to aspiring country music performers and also shared shop space and store displays for various marketing photo shoots in Clarksville.  Drew attributes CC’s community involvement as another reason for the boutique’s remarkable success, and looks forward to the future.

“I am honored and very excited to continue on a strong course for another successful year of business in Clarksville,” says Drew. “Additionally, we are viewing sites for our next Couture Crush opening in a nearby city. “
“CC will continue to operate following our business strategy of offering great quality merchandise, excellent customer service, boutique-style real estate, and solid management.”

In honor of the first anniversary, Couture Crush is planning a celebration to honor and thank their loyal customers with a special event from 10:00am–6:00pm on Saturday, October 20th, 2012.

“We invite all of our customers to come out to the event to help us celebrate and toast our successful first year and enjoy special items and discounts,” says Drew. “We just want to show our appreciation for our clients and the Clarksville community.”
