Senator Tim Barnes honored by Tennessee Nurses Association

Clarksville, TN – Tennessee State Senator Tim Barnes was named legislator of the year by the Tennessee Nurses Association.
Senator Barnes accepted the award Friday at the Tennessee Nurses Association convention in Franklin.“I am incredibly humbled to receive this honor from our nurses,” Senator Barnes said.

About 45 percent of all workplace violence occurs within the health care industry, Adkins said.
“Senator Barnes has been a tireless advocate for nurses in the state Senate,” Sharon Adkins, MSN RN, executive director of the Tennessee Nurses Association, said in a news release from the Barnes campaign. “We are proud to award him legislator of the year.”
