Clarksville Police reports Man Stabs Roommate with Box cutter

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On October 20th, 2012, around 4:30am, Clarksville Police Officers were called to 209 Mark Spitz Drive in reference to a stabbing involving roommates.

The stabbing occurred after Derrick Wayne Lacour, 33, got into an argument with his girlfriend and their roommate, Jerimie Speck, 33, intervened. The argument shifted and Lacour and Speck started having a verbal confrontation which turned physical.

During the altercation, Lacour pulled a box cutter out of his pocket and stabbed Speck approximately six times in the back and neck area. Initially, Speck was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center and then was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Speck has since been released from the hospital.

Additionally, Lacour had some  medical issues which resulted in EMS transporting him to Gateway. He is still being treated at the hospital and will be booked into Montgomery Jail when released.

Lacour has a lengthy criminal history involving traffic offenses and assault

The lead investigator is Detective David Bramel.
