101st Airborne Division, Combined Task Force “Strike” – The Movie, Part 2
2nd Brigade Combat Team
Fort Campbell, KY – Combined Task Force “Strike” was the military unit selected by the International Security Assistance Force to be the main surge brigade to defeat Taliban in its Kandahar homeland from 2010-2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Through much sweat, bloodshed and sacrifice, the 101st Airborne Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team, was the first US Brigade Combat Team to operate in the Taliban’s birthplace and defeated them, returning the land back to Afghan people.
Part 2 of the Combined Task Force “Strike” – The Movie, continues the Strike Brigade’s journey to Kandahar beginning immediately following September 11th, 2001. The events and details explain where, why and what the “Strike” Soldiers achieved during the decade prior of the battle for Kandahar.
