APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Golf
Gulf Shores, AL – Austin Peay State University women’s golf team will look to take momentum into the off-season when it plays in the UAB Fall Beach Bash, Monday and Tuesday, at the Peninsula and Racquet Club.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament will be played on the 6,050-yard Cypress/Marsh Course at the club.

After a strong start to the fall golf season, the Lady Govs has struggled in their most recent two tournaments.
“Our girls are familiar with this course and we are looking to finish off the fall strong,” APSU coach Sara Robson said. “We hope to go out and shoot two good rounds and then take the confidence into our off-season work.”
Seniors Lauren Bond and Tabitha Beard along with junior Tala Mumford, sophomore Meghan Mueller and freshman Jessica Cathey will represent the Lady Govs’ team. Senior Holly Batey will compete as an individual.
Nine teams will be battling, including APSU’s fellow OVC foes Belmont and Tennessee Tech. In addition to host UAB, Sam Houston State, Houston Baptist, Emory Riddle, Southern Miss and West Florida.
