APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Clarksville, TN – Senior point guard Jerome Clyburn, of the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team, is expected be out a month after suffering a torn medial meniscus in his left knee.
Clyburn was injured during Sunday’s practice. The Orange Park native underwent an MRI and the tear was revealed. He will undergo surgery, Wednesday. Clyburn started 26 games in 2011-12, averaging 6.3 ppg and 2.8 apg.With Clyburn out the point guard duties will shift to freshman AJ Lynch, who performed well (11.3 ppg) in Canada, and sophomore Herdie Lawrence (3.7 ppg), who ended the 2011-12 season as a starter.
