Clarksville Police reports Truck Flips in Multiple-Vehicle Crash on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On October 29th, 2012, around 4:00pm, a 2006 Buick Lacrosse, driven by Laurence Pugh, 73, was turning right off of Old Trenton Road to go south on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, failed to yield to an oncoming 96 Chevy Silverado, driven by Albert Allen, 61 traveling in the right lane.

The Lacrosse knocked the Silverado into the left lane hitting a 94 Nissan pickup driven by Chase Hunter, 19, causing the pickup to flip onto its side.

There was a TV in the bed of the Nissan which was thrown from the pickup after impact. The TV hit a 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by Walter Buckner, 65, stopped northbound in the center left turn lane.

Chase Hunter had a minor injury to his hand, treated at the scene, and released.  The Lacrosse, Silverado, and Nissan pickup were towed from the scene.

Traffic flow was disrupted for 1 ½ hours.

Laurence Pugh was cited for Failure to Yield, Financial Responsibility, and a request for special examination was submitted.

The investigator is Officer James Atkins.
